The King Who Banned The Dark
Based on the book by Emily Haworth-Booth, adapted by Tristan Bernays. An illuminating tale of power, revolution, darkness and light for children aged 5-8.A boy who is afraid of the dark grows up to become King. He installs an artificial sun, enforces an "anti-dark" law and the Light Police spread propaganda of the dangers of the dark…the citizens don't need to worry about monsters, crime, or any of the other scary things that might live in the dark. But, what happens when nobody can sleep, and the citizens revolt? A modern fable of community, revolution and courage.
